At Dog Day Inn, we offer more than just pet sitting—we provide a loving, comfortable home away from home! Our family includes a friendly 2-year-old dachshund and two cat-loving companions who are all great with other pets. Your furry family members will enjoy personalized attention, plenty of love, and the companionship of our resident pets in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.
Unlike traditional boarding facilities, your pets get to enjoy the comforts of a real home, including a big backyard with plenty of room to play, explore, and burn off some energy! We treat every guest like part of our family because we believe pets deserve a vacation, too!

We keep it simple: we feed and board. Your dog sleeps inside with our family and has the run of a big, high-fenced backyard through our downstairs dog doors.

Bring your pup to 409 Bonnawood Dr in Hermitage. Can't make it? We offer pickup & drop-off for $49 each way.

No-stress pickups
Travel plans change, and we get it! We're flexible on pickups after your booking ends. Running late? No worries. Just text us updates at 615-506-6838 so we can have your pup ready and waiting for your arrival.
Our resident pets
Your pup won't be alone! Our own friendly crew is great with visiting dogs. On the booking form we'll ask if your dog is comfortable around cats and a small dog, just to be safe.

Two happy years of happy tails
Dog Day Inn has been welcoming four-legged guests into our Hermitage home for two years. What started as watching friends' pups turned into a little BnB for dogs, built on one simple rule: treat every guest like family.
We keep your dog inside with us, never in a kennel run. Our downstairs dog doors open onto a big, high-fenced backyard, so pups can head out to sniff, sunbathe, or zoom whenever they like.
And because we only host one family at a time, your dog never has to share space with strange dogs. It's safer, calmer, and a lot more personal.
We also run a successful Desk Flag business, so you can count on the same care, reliability, and attention to detail with your pup.
FAQ
Why only one family at a time?
Safety first. We never mix dogs from different households, which means no scuffles, no stress, and no sharing germs with strangers. Your pup gets our undivided attention.
Will my dog be around your pets?
Yes. Our friendly 2-year-old dachshund and two cats live here and are great with guests. The booking form asks whether your dog is OK with cats and small dogs. If you're unsure, we'll set up a meet & greet first.
Do you offer grooming?
No. We feed and board only. Bring your pup fresh from the groomer and we'll keep them happy until you're back.
What should I bring?
Your dog's regular food (pre-portioned is great), any meds, a leash, and a favorite blanket or toy that smells like home.
Where do the dogs sleep?
Inside our home with the family. Dogs are kept indoors and can walk out to the fenced backyard any time through our downstairs dog doors.
What if I'm late picking up my dog?
No stress! We're flexible on pickups after your booking ends. Flights get delayed and traffic happens. Just text us updates at 615-506-6838 so we can be ready for your arrival.
Do you offer pickup and drop-off?
We ask owners to drop off at our home, but we're happy to pick up and/or drop off your pup for $49 each way.
